This update comes courtesy of Nita Nagi, Area Manager Europe and America, who gives sound advice about the need to come early to the airport for check in and more so, leave ample time for connections in Nairobi due to logistics bottle necks. Ignore it at your own risk.
While the teams soldier on, JKIA is experiencing serious logistical issues as most carriers resume flights with the limited infrastructure and facilities available.
If you are transiting through Nairobi please book onwards flights with a 3 hr connecting time for domestic (to allow for clearing immigration and customs and make it to the cargo terminal where for the time being domestic flights are handled) and 2 hours for international. Otherwise the risk of baggage not making it are high!
