Reunion Tourism launches the ‘Rally Mascarun’ as new promotional tool

REUNION TOURISM LAUNCHES ‘RALLYE MASCARUN’ FOR TRAVEL AGENTS

Twenty travel agents from France will take part in the inaugural ‘Rallye Mascarun’ which will see them divided into teams of four and given a range of tasks to accomplish, in the process discovering the unique attractions of Reunion and meeting key stakeholders along the way.

Arriving on Air Austral’s service from Paris at the Roland Garros International Airport in St. Denis, Reunion’s capital on the 26th of May, will the group for 5 days criss cross the island to face their given challenges and take home with them the knowledge that Reunion is one of the most diverse places on the planet.

Selected through past online training sessions which were developed and organized by IRT, Ile de la Reunion Tourisme will the lucky twenty get self drive vehicles and then, like in a treasure hunt, follow clues, all to be duly entered into a daily log which will serve as a record of their sightings, meetings and experiences.

Partners in the event, besides IRT, are Air Austral, Gites de France Meeting, Le Soutien d’Enterprise Citer, the Tour Hebdo Magazine, Exsel Hotels, CleVacances, Helilagon and Corail Helicopters.

The ‘treasure hunt’ will have the travel agents discover small hotels and B&B’s, restaurants, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, attractions, meet tourism stakeholders, members of the business community and of course the staff of Reunion Tourism, to learn all about there is to know, rum tasting and the vanilla experience no doubt included.
