AFRAA’s 46th AGA – four weeks and counting

The African Airline Association will this year hold the annual general assembly in Algiers, the capital of Algeria and national carrier Air Algerie is the host airline.Preparations are in high gear and those who have not yet made up their mind are encouraged to do so soon and book, flights and hotels included, to avoid disappointment when nearer to the time the flights will be full and the preferred hotel puts up the ‘sold out’ sign.

One month to go for the 46th AFRAA Annual General Assembly! Have you registered?

The African Airlines Association will convene its 46th Annual General Assembly (AGA) from 09-11 November 2014 at the Hilton Hotel, Algiers in Algeria under the high patronage of the President of the Democratic Republic of Algeria – H.E Abdelaziz Bouteflika and the kind invitation of Air Algerie.

Invited delegates who are yet to register and process their hotel accommodation are kindly requested to do so in advance of the AGA for logistical purposes.

Online Registration

Hotel Accommodation

Air Algerie has negotiated discounted rates at various event hotels. Details on the event hotels and discounted room rates are available on the hotels page of the AGA website: Please make your reservation at your preferred hotel through the AGA website to take advantage of the discounts. The following are the selected event hotels:

Discounted tickets

To make travel and participation in this annual air transport summit convenient and memorable, Air Algerie is pleased to inform all delegates that it will offer 2 options for ticket discounts throughout its entire network to/from Algiers as follows.

Option 1: 70% economy class or 50% business class discount on the published rates where tickets are bought through Air Algerie ticketing offices/agents.

Option 2: 10% discount applicable on all promotional tariffs available on Air Algerie website. For option 2, the tickets should be purchased from Air Algerie website using the code: afraa

Ticket discounts for AFRAA Member airlines: For FRAA member airlines, Air Algerie has offered up to 2 ID00 Business Class tickets on their network to/from Algiers. Airport Transfers

Courtesy of Air Algerie, complimentary airport transfers between the airport and the event hotels will be arranged for all participants. Please ensure your flight details are provided upon registration and updates communicated to the event organizing team through the contact-uspage on the event website.

Pre-AGA Events

An exciting pre-AGA tour of some unique and exclusive attractions of Algiers has been arranged for all delegates on Sunday, 09 November 2014. More information to be availed in due course.

On-site Registration/Badge Collection

The conference will take place at the Le Grand Salon Conference Room, Hilton Hotel. The registration desk is situated at the frontage of the conference area. Registration will be open from Sunday 09 November from 1200 noon to 1800hrs and will continue on Monday 11 November from 0800hrs. Name badges and conference bags will be issued upon registration. The dress code for the conference sessions is formal.

Visa and Immigration:

Delegates are kindly requested to apply for their visa in advance for countries where there are Algerian Embassies and Consulates. A listing of countries with Algerian Embassies or Consulates is available on the AGA webpage: pradier from the AFRAA Secretariat for facilitation of visa on arrival.

Flight and accommodation details required: In case of any changes in your flight arrival and departure details, or your hotel of choice, please contact: Mr. Blaise Muyanda bmuyanda. This information is vital to enable the team to facilitate transfers to and from the airport.

Event Programme
