Diani based Baobab Resort captures German quality award

(Posted 23rd January 2015)

Baobab Beach Resort and Spa yesterday announced that they have been awarded the prestigious ‘HolidayCheck Award 2015’. The award, according to additional information received, is based on feedback from over 1 million reviews and includes several core criteria, including a recommendation rate of over 90% and a minimum of 5 stars in the overall quality rating. Receiving the award for the 4th year in succession, demonstrates the ongoing dedication of the Baobab Beach Resort & Spa, team in exceeding expectations as well as the resort’s outstanding quality.
Located on the world famous award winning Diani Beach in Mombasa, has the Baobab Beach Resort and Spa often been described as an oasis of tranquility and serenity, largely attributed to the fact that the resort sits on some 80 acres of tropical forest and gardens, overlooking the Indian Ocean. Shaded by indigenous coastal vegetation and exotic coconut palms with several Colobus monkey colonies found in the forested part of the resort, have guests access to over 800 metres of the famous white sand beach front offering a superb holiday experience.
Baobab Beach Resort and Spa is renowned as Kenya’s leading all-inclusive resort and takes pride in an exemplary level of service and attention to detail. Also on the same 80 acres property is the Kole Kole Resort, a sister hotel under the same management.

The Baobab, as have other resorts on Diani Beach, have been affected last year by crippling anti-travel advisories slapped on Kenya by Britain which seriously impacted on arrival numbers. The resort is one of many which have been lobbying the Kenyan government to fast track a new road access from the Nairobi to Mombasa highway and Mombasa’s international airport directly to the South Coast, to avoid the time consuming journey through Mombasa city and the crossing of the Likoni channel by ferry.
