Come December will Qatar Airways switch from the Boeing B777-200LR to the larger Boeing B777-300ER for their daily flights between Doha and Buenos Aires but also to Sao Paulo.
The added capacity are an extra 99 seats on each flight, a move undertaken as a result of a significant rise in demand of travel to and from two of South America’s most high profile destinations.
For travelers from Qatar Airways destinations in East Africa, Entebbe, Kigali, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar but also Asmara, Addis Ababa and Djibouti, does this translate into easier confirmations of bookings when traveling to South America.
Qatar Airways Vice President of The Americas, Mr. Günter Saurwein, said when making the announcement: ‘Passenger demand from both the leisure and business segments has grown consistently since the launch of both routes in June 2010. We are pleased to reinforce our commitment to our passengers and are looking forward to increasing Qatar Airways’ presence in South America. The region is a strong contributor to our route network and these additional seats will enable leisure and business segments to flourish. The dedication to service sets the airline apart, and we welcome passengers to experience the genuine hospitality and warmth on-board‘.
