(Posted 20th October 2016)

RETOSA just announced a deal with the Africa Travel Association ahead of the 41st Annual Congress in Kigali / Rwanda, to extend cooperation and collaboration and promote the ATA event among RETOSA members.
The congress in Kigali will also see RETOSA’s latest initiative explained which is an e-learning programme for member country professionals leading to a certification of competence.

Said Stephen Hayes, President and CEO of the Africa Travel Association:
‘The Conference will bring together government leaders, international investors and travel professionals from the U.S., Europe and Africa to set the tone for how tourism can be utilized as an engine for economic growth and job creation. The 41st Tourism Conference will be the first time ATA’s flagship conference is hosted under CCA leadership. CCA, the leading U.S. business association focused on African business and investment, acquired ATA in January 2016.

At this conference, we will officially launch a Council of Tourism Ministers, which will be chaired by Honorable Walter Mzembi, Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Chairperson of the UNWTO Commission for Africa. This will serve as a platform to discuss policies supporting tourism, and ways in which the sector can be leveraged to stimulate economic and social development on the continent. The Council will also serve as an influential advisory group to CCA’s new tourism initiative.

I hope you will strongly consider joining us at the 41st Annual World Tourism Conference in Kigali. Further information and full details can be found on the conference website at
Please use the following promotional code to register with ATA’s Special Partner rate which is 50% off of $400: ATAPTR. If you have any questions, please email us at conference.

See you all in Kigali in November for ATA’s annual showcase event, promoting travel to Africa.
