BRUSSELS AIRLINES AND LUFTHANSA CEO’S SET TO APPEAR TOGETHER IN KEY MEDIA EVENT

A major press conference will take place at 10.30 hrs local time in Brussels at the head office of Brussels Airlines, with the Chairmen of the two Boards of Directors, Viscount Etienne Davignon for Brussels Airlines and Mr. Carsten Spohr for the Lufthansa Group joined by the CEO of Brussels Airlines Mr. Bernard Gustin and Mr. Karl Ulrich Garnadt, Member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa.
While no early announcements have been made is it an open secret that the core of the announcements will be about the full takeover of Brussels Airlines by the Lufthansa Group and the future of the Belgian flag carrier under the new ownership.

Brussels Airlines flies to Entebbe / Uganda five times a week, six times a week to Kigali / Rwanda and once a week to Bujumbura / Burundi but no longer to Nairobi after Lufthansa ordered a route swap which saw Brussels Airlines commence flights to Accra while having to cede the Nairobi services to Lufthansa.
