The Fancourt Hotel was honoured to be named South Africa’s Best Golf Hotel 2017 by the recently held World Golf Awards

The award reflects the dedication and commitment put into the experience waiting for the golfers at the hotel. With three golf courses, it is one of the most sought-after destinations by amateurs and pros alike.

This correspondent was at Fancourt earlier this year on a fact finding mission and cannot but agree that the estate, home to South Africa’s top golf courses, deserves this accolade and then some more.

We are thrilled by this recognition, from the highly respected World Golf Awards. We pride ourselves on our unsurpassed offerings for golfers, and look forward to sharing all that the Fancourt hotel and The Manor House have to offer with our current and future guests‘ said Peter Dros, Sales and Marketing Director at Fancourt.
Also commenting on the award was Ryan Reid, Director of Sports and Recreation at Fancourt: ‘Winning this World Golf Award is testament to the entire team at Fancourt. Every day, our goal is to provide high-quality service and course facilities, with exceptional experience. This award is validation of that hard work‘.

Located near the charming South African town of George, Fancourt impressed World Golf Awards with its peaceful setting, extensive facilities and unique flair. Best known for its three award-winning golf courses, designed by golfing legend Gary Player, the five-star Fancourt Hotel features a total of 115 rooms, four on-site dining options and its very own high-end spa. To maintain the hotel’s five-star standards, recent refurbishments were conducted, of the golfing facilities, including new golf carts.

As home to the number one golf course in the country – The Links – the Fancourt estate has earned a reputation for excellence. From the manicured greens of its golf courses, to the natural surroundings of the Outeniqua Mountains, this majestic hotel offers the ultimate golfer’s getaway.
