NEW CHALLENGE FOR CARMEN NIBIGIRA IN #KIGALI

Following Carmen Nibigira’s success as Coordinator of the East Africa Tourism Platform – funding disruptions for East Africa’s tourism apex body eventually brought her tenure to a much regretted premature end mid last year – has Carmen now taken on a new challenge as Project Director for Horwath HTL Interconsult in Kigali.
Following her departure from EATPL did Carmen. a former Director General of the Burundi Tourism Board, carry out several short term assignments including working as Lead Consultant for the Tourism Ministry in Brazzaville, before eventually settling down in Kigali.
Carmen is and remains a board member of Akilah Institute for Women in Rwanda, a higher education college that offers market-relevant education with campuses in Rwanda. She also publishes widely on different issues related to tourism development in East Africa and is known to be an advocate for inter and intra-regional travel and tourism in Africa. Carmen is an intrepid traveler, outdoor enthusiast, self-driven and a team player par excellence.
