RUNWAY CONDITION AT KASAMA AIRPORT PREVENTS PROFLIGHT FROM USING LARGER PLANE

(Posted 11th January 2019)

Failure by relevant authorities to improve the runway condition at Kasama airport – the tarmacking of the facility was due to be completed by the end of 2018 – has now led to Proflight, Zambia’s largest airline, suspending services from Lusaka and Ndola until at least April this year it was learned.
It was initially planned to use a Jetstream 41 on the route as of 01st of January but any flights now operated on demand will have to use a Cessna Grand Caravan C208 for the service due to the runway conditions.
