#Safarilink sponsors young achievers from #Turkana

Safarilink Aviation is proud to announce the sponsorship of two academic giants from Lodwar-Kapese region (Turkana County) to the Mpesa Foundation Academy.

The Mpesa Foundation Academy is a co-educational and residential High school offering the Kenyan National Curriculum. Driven by leadership, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, the Academy serves talented but economically disadvantaged students with leadership potential.

Safarilink lauds the Mpesa Foundation Academy for their commendable efforts in providing equal opportunities to access education for marginalized communities.

Through a stringent recruitment process, four students from Turkana County qualified to attend the academy and Safarilink is proud to sponsor two candidates to attend the Mpesa Foundation Academy for a full course of four years.

One candidate, Alex Nannok Elaar, who scored a total of 377 marks, was the football captain in his school and exhibited leadership skills which convinced the recruiters of his potential.

The other candidate, Everline Pedo Esinyen, who scored a total of 333 marks, showed leadership skills and was eloquent throughout the interview.

Safarilink is proud to include the sponsorship of educating students to our growing portfolio of corporate social responsibility activities, some of which include; Annual tree planting activities with Mt. Kenya Trust, support of Lewa Conservancy and Colobus Trust in Diani, to name a few.

In January, Safarilink sponsored a FREE five day eye clinic in Turkana county with Medical and Education Aid for Kenya (MEAK). A total of 818 patients were reviewed, of which 82 underwent cataract surgery whereas 34 others were diagnosed with trachoma cases.
