We have the pleasure to share the great news that Chumbe Island Coral
Park has won the “BEST OF AFRICA” award as one of the world’s Top 10
Sustainable Destinations for 2019.

The awards were unveiled in a high profile award ceremony at the ITB
on the 6th March. The 10 destinations were selected by a jury
representing 12 different international organizations, who reviewed a
total of 44 initiatives globally.

This important award recognizes Chumbe’s innovation and best practices
in marine, forest conservation and tourism management, leading the
way in quality and attractiveness, as well as environmental and social
sustainability. The awards are part of the TOP-100 initiative.

We are very excited to receive this award, and to gain such
recognition for our work.
