ANN PEGGY is the newly appointed General Manager at the PrideInn Paradise Resort, which is located north of Mombasa at Shanzu.
Ann has an exemplary career story that has spans 18 years in the hotel industry with 14 years in management positions.
She began from the very grassroots in the hospitality industry as a waitress before being appointed to a supervisor position, to restaurant manager and then an outlet manager.
The steady rise of her career began in 2004 when she joined Sarova Hotels as a waitress at the specialty sea food restaurant Lido. She moved two ranks up within a year and in 2005 she was voted restaurant manager of year in all the Sarova units. She left Sarova 6 years later holding the position as F&B Manageress and joined Leisure Lodge Golf and Resort in the same position. Ann then moved over to the Leopard Beach Resort as Operations Manager before joining the Jacaranda Indian Ocean Beach Resort as General Manager.
Ann holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Management College of South Africa, a Master Certificate in Food Service Management from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, which she notably attained in self sponsored mode. She returned to Cornell later for the General Manager’s program 2014. Subsequently Ann attained the Advanced Certificate in Management Studies at Mancosa.
Ann’s passion for excellence and her attention to detail makes a perfect fit to Pride Hotels’ brand identity; OSEV; Obsession with service, excellence and variety.
The hotel group’s Managing Director Hasnain Noorani in her case took a leap of faith to break the gender barrier for the first time, giving the hotel a lady’s touch to drive guest services and guest experience.
Congratulations to Ann on her new appointment and the best of success in her new position.
