Meet the 2019 Recce team!

This year the team has put together quite an adventurous route for the competitors to go through.
The route has been finalised and the first draft is ready with three stages to be running each day, and the average distance per day will be 450kms.
The Rally passes through Mombasa, Tanga, Arusha, Voi, with the rest day being in Tanzania.
The event will take place in Kenya for 4 days and 4 days in Tanzania, with more night stops at each venue making it easier for competitors.
The full details of the night stops in the right sequence will be shared in due course.

"This is one of the stages during recce – a successful day having found two exceptional marathon stages over 100kms. A promise to keep to the competitors, we ventured into new areas and managed to piece together stages that have every element of rallying – fast, long straights and technically twisty tracks…..stages with a bit of everything.

COMPETITORS INFO 2 – PERSONALISED FILMING
During the worlds toughest rally competitiors can acquire their personalised DVDs from East African Safari Classic Rally, which will be produced and filmed by Rai Productions LTD.
Subscriptions to this offer include:
– Footage of the rally car from start and finish ramps
– Driver interviews during the rally
– Filming of end of day service scenes
– Action scenes from two locations per day
– Included in-car footage

COMPETITOR INFO 3 – CAR RENTAL
Land Cruisers and Prados are available for car hire during the course of the rally.
If the team wishes to hire the vehicles, they have the option of self-driven or with a driver; and insurances are provided for both Kenya and Tanzania.

Mini Buses are also available as per the above arrangements.

COMPETITORS INFO 4 – MEDICAL FORM
Just a reminder to all competitors to make sure their medical information is up to par .i.e. the necessary vaccinations are completed and details of medical history are up to date.
There is a medical form, completely confidential, that must be filled in by every team member before the start of the rally – please see below for the attached link.
