PRECISION AIR SUPPORTS DISABILITY SERVICES WITH 120 TICKETS

Tanzania’s leading Airline, Precision Air Services Plc, has announced partnership with CCBRT, short for Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania, a non-governmental organization first established in 1994 that works nationally to preventing disabilities and service the needs of people with disabilities.
The announcement was made yesterday through a press conference conducted at Precision Air’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
Addressing the media during the conference, Precision Air’s Ag. Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Patrick Mwanri said that the partnership between Precision Air and CBRT will be in the form of sponsorship.
Announcing the sponsorship, Mr. Mwanri said Precision Air will give CCBRT a total of 120 tickets within its network to be used to facilitate CCBRT regional clinics and administration activities.
“As a Tanzanian brand, we have an obligation of taking care of the community needs and we are going to achieve that by using our services to bring positive impact in our society. As stated in our vision ‘To be the airline of choice and the catalyst of change’ we believe this partnership will bring significant change in communities across Tanzania through CCBRT’s work.”
Mr. Mwanri explained further that the partnership on the other hand is also supporting the government efforts to ensure every Mwananchi has access to quality health services through the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children.
He added, “We understand that some conditions prevent an individual with a disability from travelling to Dar es Salaam for medical care, and that is why we believe it’s important to support mobile clinics so that many more people can access the services provided by CCBRT on time and reliably.”
Speaking during the press conference, CCBRT’s Chief Executive Officer Brenda Msangi expressed her profound gratitude to Precision Air for their generous support of air tickets in support CCBRT’s programs outside Dar es Salaam.
‘’CCBRT has partner facilities in numerous regions in Tanzania. CCBRT staff go to these regions to provide needed services such as orthopaedic treatment, eye treatment, medical screening/assessment and provision of wheelchairs. With valued partners like Precision Air we will be able to reach more Tanzanians who need CCBRT’s services, Also this support will help us reduce transport cost and time to staff who travel frequent to provide needed services‘ said Ms. Brenda.
Established in 1993, Precision Air has been in operations for 25 years providing key connections for tourist and economic travel within and beyond the country.
Currently Precision Air provides scheduled flights to over 10 destinations within and outside Tanzania from its main hub in Dar es Salaam including Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, Mtwara, Kahama, Bukoba, Mwanza, Zanzibar, Tabora, Serengeti, Nairobi, Entebbe and most recently route Tanzania’s capital of Dodoma. Other service provided by Precision Air includes chartered and cargo air services.
The Airline is a recipient of multiple awards from the Tanzania Society of Travel Agents, Africa Aviation News Port, Tanzania Leadership Awards, TASOTA, among others and a listed company at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange.
CCBRT is a Tanzanian health care organization that works to prevent disability provide affordable medical and rehabilitative services, and aid empowerment of people with disabilities and their families. It also seeks to prevent disability through early identification by strengthening the maternal and newborn health system throughout Dar es Salaam.
The organization has been in existence since 1994.
