We reached 3,500 students in 8 schools bordering the Serengeti
with conservation education.
739 students and teachers went to the Serengeti on field trips.
We built 2 tree nurseries to produce seedlings.
Students have planted 4,470 indigenous trees so far. More to come.
We reached hundreds of thousands of people around the Serengeti with 96 bi-weekly radio programs this year.
We donated 10 bee hives to a women’s group to generate income. This launches our long-term program of granting micro-loans, finding markets for artisans’ products, and giving economic support to women.
We gave 40 water filters to schools for clean drinking water.
We printed and distributed 1,000 wildlife calendars and mini books.
We gave presentations across the US with our Tanzanian partner.
We continued to monitor the Serengeti, report on developments, alert the world to threats, and scale up programs to face growing challenges.
