– Coronavirus pandemic: Table Mountain Aerial Cableway in Cape Town temporarily suspends operations!

Cape Town’s Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) just announced that it will temporarily suspend services from today (18 March 2020) due to the coronavirus pandemic. The cableway will remain closed until after the Easter weekend 2020, or until greater clarity is given on the management and containment of this virus by the President of South Africa and international health bodies, such as the World Health Organisation (WHO). According to the TMACC, it is its duty as of one of Africa’s leading attractions to act responsibly as a tourism operator under these extreme circumstances.
The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) has put arrangements in place for visitors who have already purchased tickets, to use these tickets at a later date or to apply for a refund. For more information please contact the TMACC.
