Dreaming of Travel during the Lock Down – Lets Go Travel will make your dreams come true

Dreaming of Travel in the Lock down?!
Do you look into the sky and think wow it looks so clear and beautiful – and there have been recent statements about the distance you can see clearly and even great photos taken of Mount Kilimanjaro with lots of snow from Nairobi National Park! Or are you saying to yourself – when can I take that next flight? Well yes, we wait for the Kenyan airspace to be opened up soon to allow some local and international flights – but there again with this whole saga what conditions will we all have to meet around our next such air travel? You tell me!
So in the current ‘lock down’ in Nairobi, talking of Nairobi National Park, have you been into the park recently – there’s lots of wildlife to be seen it’s very green, lots of water, yes even on some of the roads, which sadly are not in good condition, so a four wheel drive is really what is needed. Go and picnic in the car, you can’t use the picnic sites except for toilet facilities! There is a whole new Management Plan for Nairobi National Park being debated until end June – so please find some time and put in your comments by going to the FoNNaP (Friends of Nairobi National Park) fonnap1 asking for the document. They also have great monthly newsletters.

Other interesting different places to visit – Ololoua Forest, but best with a few people in the party as not fully protected (or fenced) – great for biking, 7 kilometres of cleared track! Email olooluaforest for more info and to pay entry by Mpesa. Of course, Karura Forest – a great visit; or the corner of Ngong Forest – entrance by Southern Bypass and Ngong road junction – a lovely short walk past two dams. To name but a few!

Further afield once Nairobi is unlocked – where will you drive to?
Lots of day trips out of Nairobi possible and of course places not so far for a night. We can help you in your planning and we are putting together a Residents leaflet of places to stay in Kenya.
Have you been to Ragati? A self catering cottage in a forest on the slopes of Mount Kenya, just above Karatina – good trout fishing too, and walks. Or go and climb Mount Kenya, easy in 3 days, better with an extra night to acclimatize – we have a good guide who can take you. Just email Alan at ad.

A New Brand Identity for Uniglobe Travel International
Our branding is changing – you ask, why now! Well our travel franchise partner Uniglobe, head office in Vancouver, Canada, actually moved across to the new branding in February this year!

Uniglobe, is the oldest travel franchise in the world, been around a little longer than Lets Go Travel – just over 40 years, is excited about its new worldwide brand identity and design that aligns with a more modern travel industry. This reflects its new mission – to drive client’s success through better travel.

With Lets Go Travel being a member of the franchise, independently owned and operated, we have also slightly adjusted our logo to represent the brand identity of our Uniglobe Travel family. So please get used to our new look, and we hope you find it refreshing and modern!

Online Booking Tool
For those of you itching to plan that next trip – you can go to our Online Booking tool on our website – click here – and look at flight schedules, even book, and for actual finalization of payment, you’ll have to send it to us or visit us when we reopen our office. You can also book international hotels and car hire too. Anyway, keep dreaming for now! Please give the web page time to load – it takes about a minute for the tool load! Sorry.
Keep safe #UStayStrong – the hashtag that Uniglobe is currently promoting.

Alan and the great team at Lets Go Travel Uniglobe.
