#PoriniCamps and #GameWatchers News Updates and Great Deals

Dear ATCNews readers,
Greetings from Kenya where international flights resumed last month and our camps are open and welcoming visitors.

The Porini Safari Camps re-opened a couple of months ago and our guests have been enjoying some exceptionally good wildlife-viewing in and around our conservancies.

The Masai Mara is currently hosting vast numbers of Wildebeest on their annual Migration, and guests of Porini Mara Camp, Porini Lion Camp and Porini Cheetah Camp have been treated to incredible scenes of the herds crossing fast-flowing, crocodile-infested rivers and escaping other predators in an ultimate fight for survival. You can keep up with all the wildlife action here on our YouTube channel – please subscribe for the latest updates: https://www.youtube.com/c/PoriniCamps

Regular Porini Camps guests Matt & Alison Caldwell arrived on one of the first flights out from the UK and stayed at Porini Mara and Porini Lion camps. Matt shared these images of "Fig", one of the resident female leopards taken near Porini Lion.

"For those wondering about international travel, we did lots of homework, thought long and hard and decided that it was as safe as it ever can be and that our desire to help the locals whose jobs are in danger was worth it.

We know we made the right choice as once we had left the UK we soon found out how well other countries are doing and we felt safer than when we are at home! If you have ever considered a safari then we would say now really is a great time", (Matt Caldwell, August 2020).

Come and join us as soon as you can for your own incredible wilderness experience!
Kenya Red Cross Certification

The Porini Safari Camps were among the first in Kenya to be checked and certified to re-open with new Covid-19 safety standards in line with the World Health Organization and Kenya Ministry of Health requirements.

In addition, our teams have now completed "Covid-19 Sensitization" training with the Kenya Red Cross Training Institute.

Various measures are in place to protect our guests and staff including regular health checks of staff, temperature screening of guests on arrival, deep-cleaning procedures, hand sanitizer stations and social distancing requirements.

World Travel Awards – please vote!

We are pleased to announce that we’ve been nominated in four categories in the 27th annual World Travel Awards!

World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Today, the World Travel Awards™ brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence.

Please help us to promote conservancy tourism by voting for us now. Each year, with the support of our clients, we pay over US$1.5 Million to the local Maasai communities. This improves livelihoods and protects habitat and wildlife – including elephants and the big cats. Recognition in the World Travel Awards will help us "spread the word" about our conservancies and mission to support wildlife and local people.

Voting is open to all and is a straight forward process. To vote, go to https://www.worldtravelawards.com/vote.
