BRUSSELS AIRPORT AVAILS COVID19 TESTS ON ARRIVAL AND FROM LATE SEPTEMBER ALSO FOR DEPARTING PASSENGERS
(Posted 16th September 2020)
Covid-19 Test Centre
Since 14th of September can arriving passengers get tested on Covid-19 at our airport after their trip, when returning from a red zone. The internationally recognised PCR test can be taken at the departure hall, outside the airport building. The test centre is operated by Ecolog and is open daily from 3.30 a.m. until midnight. Preferably you can book your appointment online, but you can also register on the spot.
In a second phase, when the on-site lab is operational at the airport (end of September), departing passengers too will be able to get tested for the virus. Passengers who, for example, are travelling to a country that requires a negative COVID-19 test certificate, will be able to obtain this certificate at the airport. #safetravel
Since the beginning of September, many airlines have been prepared to take you to your favourite destinations. Now, you can already fly to 130 destinations.
Take a look at our website and discover where you can travel to in the coming months.
Meet the crew: follow inspector Isabel at the airport
We don’t always stop to think about it, but the airport does not only rely on our hard-working pilots and stewardesses. 24,000 people, in a variety of jobs, work for us. What’s more, Brussels Airport is Belgium’s second largest employer.
On our BRU Summer TV, you can get acquainted with inspector Isabel as she talks passionately about her job with the aviation police. You will also find out what she and her colleagues are doing to ensure the safety of passengers at our airport!
As an Enjoy! member, you get the chance to win a dinner for 2 people in one of our favourite restaurants in Brussels every month. This month you have a chance to win a dinner at SAO Thai Cuisine in Ixelles, where you can enjoy the Thai bistronomy. You can participate until 30 September 2020.

Imagine… You arrive at the airport and you realise that you have forgotten something. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? For essentials such as mosquito repellent, baby food, medicine or other health products, you can always contact Johan and Mieke from the pharmacy in our departure hall. This way you can leave on your trip with peace of mind ;-). Feel free to pop in any day between 8:00 and 15:00.
Getting back from holiday and returning to an empty fridge at home? Don’t worry! Upon arrival, Louis Delhaize is the place to be for essential purchases. The supermarket is located on arrival level, near the exit, and is currently only accessible to arriving passengers and airport staff. In order to guarantee the freshness of the products, we have temporarily limited the diversity of the offer. But there is certainly enough to fill that empty stomach though! Open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 17:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 19:00.
At our airport we’re always prepared to help you. In the past you could already contact us via email, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Since a few weeks, you can also send us a message via WhatsApp!
Do you have a question? Don’t hesitate to send us a message on +32 2 753 77 53. We’ll do our utmost to help you as quickly as possible.
