Cessna 150 crash claims pilot’s life

ICCN AIRCRAFT CRASHES ON TAKEOFF IN EASTERN CONGO

An ICCN ( Institut Congolais pour la Conservation de la Nature ) owned Cessna 150 – registration and other aircraft details not available at this time – crashed yesterday shortly after taking off from the airfield in Katale, North Kivu Province of Congo DR.

The pilot died on impact and at least four persons were injured on the ground, being hit by flying debris.

The aircraft caught fire and burned out.
