Championing Water Storage in the Face of Climate Change
So far, a total of 13 farmers have benefitted from the savings and loan program. Member farmers are from Laikipia West, Laikipia North, Laikipia East, Meru and Nyeri, and this only goes to show the increasing reach of the Sacco.

Wildebeest, Bustards and Bongos

Kenya Begins First National Census of Wildlife

The census, covering the Country’s 58 national parks and reserves, private and community conservancies, is due to be completed by the end of July. It will cost 250m Kenyan shillings (£1.6m) and includes a count of terrestrial and marine mammals, key birds such as ostriches and Kori bustards, and endangered primates.

ILMAMUSI Mukogodo Rangers Go Digital and Get Connected

Rangers from ILMAMUSI Mukogodo Forest Association have acquired new digital radios, solar chargers and repeater station with the assistance of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. The equipment, purchased with funding from the BIOPAMA Project provides for a quick and easy connection to the regional radio and security network used by Lewa, Il Ngwesi, Lekurruki, and Borana Conservancies.
