Conservation farming seems to be the perfect solution. Conservation farming is an approach in which soil management practices are reduced to a minimum, thus preserving the soil properties and natural biodiversity.
Dam liners are a worthwhile investment to save and store water. Dam liners mitigate water loss through sipping and evaporation. While there are some temporary ways to prevent water loss, like sealing cracks, the best and most durable solution is dam liners.
Where Does Tourism Fit in the County’s Spatial Plan?
Laikipia county’s Department of Lands, Infrastructure and Urban Development recently reached out to the Laikipia Tourism Association, as efforts intensify to prepare the County’s spatial plan. They aim that by September this year, this spatial plan will be complete.
A SPATIAL PLAN for Laikipia County is underway. Driven by the County’s Roads, Public Works, Lands and Energy Department, and led by Dr. Jeniffer Kinoti, the County Spatial Plan is a county requirement under the devolved County rules and requirements.
