Dear ATCNews Reader,
From Karamoja in the north east to the Gorilla Highlands in south western corner of the country, this newsletter has Uganda covered from top to bottom 😎 – scroll down… ⬇⬇
I’m happy to be back in the Pearl of Africa after some quality time reconnecting with family. The break has given me new perspectives on the future of travel. 2022… bring it on!
If you’re planning a trip to Uganda, I recommend you bookmark Latest News from Entebbe International Airport which I update regularly. (I have driven myself crazy trying to keep on top of the latest COVID-19 travel-related news!) The Latest News blog is a good place to post questions or share your travel experiences.
Here I was lining up for my COVID-19 PCR test. Bookmark this post "Latest News from Entebbe Airport"
In summary, you now need a negative PCR test to board the plane; and a second one when you land, regardless of your vaccination status. The tourism industry has fought hard against this but thankfully it is only $30. The system received bad publicity initially but I’m pleased to report it only took me an hour to pass through Entebbe Airport last week so things have improved. Do read this blog if you’re planning to fly – it’s packed with travel tips 😊.
Red list no more – PHEW!

I can’t wait to explore Karamoja’s traditional cultures and stunning scenery!
This week I head to Karamoja in eastern Uganda, the colourful focus of 2021’s World Tourism Day celebrations. I’ll be based in Moroto, where I’ll be leading the digital marketing training for the Karamoja Tourism Academy.
Wild Frontiers Uganda offer sunset cruises, fishing excursions on Lake Victoria and more. Click on the image for full details about their trips and tours. Making an enquiry? Do say the Muzungu sent you 😉
