The WTM Africa Ministerial Roundtable in partnership with ITIC will focus on ‘Tackling challenges for future investments in Africa’s tourism industry’. She is also the co-Chair of the SATSA Access, Inclusivity and Diversity Committee. Phaka is a seasoned strategist and a hands-on operational lead with vast experience in the implementation of strategic change initiatives in Africa and Asia. Her consulting career has seen her work for clients including the World Bank Group, Stanlib, Telkom and ABSA. |

A first for WTM Africa, EQUAL Africa with IGLTA will bring together travel suppliers, buyers, and media as well as lifestyle brands targeting the LGBTQ+ community. You’ll hear from influential people who can pass on some great lessons, enabling you to avoid the mistakes of brands who have ‘superficially’ tried to break into the LGBTQ+ market. Engaging in several educational sessions brings all the debate about LGBTQ+ travel to the table.
ATIS – Investing in AfricaThe African Tourism Investment Summit (ATIS) in partnership with ITIC and WTM Africa, brings together esteemed speakers and key professionals in the private and public sector, to highlight investment trends, industry challenges and opportunities. ATIS attracts ministers, mayors, investors, private equity firms, venture capitalists, decision makers and buyers, with business translating into millions of dollars to boost Africa’s economy.
