10to4 Mountain Bike Challenge raises big money

FLY540 10TO4 MOUNTAIN BIKE CHALLENGE RAISES OVER 3 MILLION SHILLINGS

The 2014 Mountain Bike Challenge, sponsored by Fly540, has raised over 3.2 million Kenya Shillings, the organizers, the Mount Kenya Trust, announced overnight in a media release in which they also thanked the Nairobi based airline for their support.

Other sponsors were Tropic Air based in Nanyuki, Braeburn, AAR, Batuk, Farwell, Highlands, Born Free, Finlays and Royal African Safaris.

The Mount Kenya Trust partnered with the Borana Conservancy, the Kenya Wildlife Service and the Ngare Ndare Forest Trust in organizing this year’s event. The 2015 dates will be announced by the Mount Kenya Trust in April.

Meanwhile was it also confirmed that DStv’s Supersport programme will air the event on March 19th at 8 p.m. on Supersport 9, giving further publicity to this annual mountain bike race which starts at an elevation of 10.000 feet and descends to the finishing line at 4.000 feet, lending the name to the event.
