4G rollout in #Rwanda now covers 95 percent of the country

HIGH SPEED CONNECTIVITY NO LONGER AN ISSUE FOR VISITORS TO RWANDA

(Posted 03rd January 2017)

Visitors to Rwanda can now enjoy – after purchasing a local service provider’s SIM Card – 4G internet services across much of the country.
While Kigali and key centres have seen coverage quality rise first is now 95 percent of the country able to receive and send on the country’s 4G network, allowing for high quality Skype calls home or sending high pixel pictures from the safari experiences tourists see and want to share.
This allows for almost instant transmission of what visitors see through the lense of their smart phones and has become a major tool to help promote the country through picture and video sharing.
Rwanda offers visitors one ‘Big Five‘ park – Akagera – two forest national parks – Nyungwe and Gishwati – and the best known of the four, Volcanoes where tourists can see the endangered mountain gorillas and the rare golden monkeys.
