Global recognition for two of Uganda’s national parks

TRIPADVISOR GIVES THUMBS UP TO QUEEN ELIZABETH AND MURCHISONS FALLS

Two of Uganda’s national parks, Queen Elizabeth and Murchisons Falls, have for 2014 once again earned the TripAdvisor ‘Certificate of Excellence’, a benchmark for the satisfaction of visitors to the parks and their independent unsolicited votes and verdicts when reviewing their experience.

Uganda, aka The Pearl of Africa, has in recent years established a reputation as one of Africa’ leading adventure destinations, with tourism attractions ranging from some spectacular beaches on the Lake Victoria islands to tracking primates on several locations across the country, mountaineering, white water rafting, horse back safaris and paragliding to name but a few.

Already well connected by air to Europe, the Gulf and beyond will the arrival later this month of FlyDubai add yet more seats, followed by Etihad which has announced daily flights for early 2015.

In November will all eyes be on Kampala when the city plays host to the Africa Travel Association’s World Congress, held at the lake side resort of Munyonyo, underscoring that the country has over the years become a leading destination on the continent for wildlife and nature based tourism.
