6th Africa Business Tourism & MICE Masterclass set for end July

The 6th edition of the Africa Business Tourism and MICE Masterclass will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, on July 27th and 28th, 2023. Ministers, policymakers, tourism directors, tourism departments, development agencies, principal and permanent secretaries, meeting planners, professional conference organisers, professional event organisers, destination marketing companies, MICE industry suppliers, youth and women in tourism, students, SMEs, entrepreneurs, and start-ups in travel and tourism are among those who will attend the MICE Masterclass.

Themed, “Igniting Post Covid-19 African Business Tourism & MICE Transformation for Global Market Place”, the MICE Masterclass is a professional development and refresher programme for Africa Industry stakeholders which has grown from strength to strength since inception in 2018, including the 2020 (hybrid Format) 2021 and 2022 editions. Africa Tourism Partners (ATP) has delivered this programme since 2018 in collaboration with BDO and with the support of Southern Africa Association of Conference Industry (SAACI), UNWTO and SITE Africa, South African Tourism, and many other partners.

Africa Tourism Leadership Forum & Awards

Africa Tourism Leadership Forum (ATLF) is a Pan-African dialogue platform. It brings together key stakeholders of Africa’s travel, tourism, hospitality and aviation sectors to network, share insights, and devise strategies for intra-Africa travel and tourism growth across the continent, whilst enhancing the brand equity of “Destination Africa’’.

It is also the only Forum of its kind in Africa that highlights tourism as a major economic pillar to diversify African economies. The Forum in convened by Africa Tourism Partners and BDO South Africa.

Africa Tourism Leadership Awards

This is the only pan African industry awards of its kind in Africa. It recognizes and celebrates change-makers and innovation pioneered by Africans, in Africa, for African travel, tourism, hospitality and aviation industries. Particular attention and recognition is given to nominees who can prove their commitment to leadership through sustainability in tourism practices and policy-making.
