We are pleased to invite you to attend the 82nd IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) from 6-8 June 2026 at the Windsor Oceanico Convention Center, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, hosted by LATAM Airlines Group.
The IATA AGM is the most senior gathering of global aviation leaders. For journalists, the AGM and WATS will be a unique opportunity to hear from and interact directly with industry leaders while experiencing one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
As in previous years, highlights will include the Director General’s report on the state of the air transport industry, a 2026 financial outlook update, and the CEO Insights panel. Media briefings with IATA subject-matter experts will further supplement the program.
Unlike previous years, the activities will start on SATURDAY (6 JUNE) and finish on MONDAY (8 JUNE). Please take careful note of this when registering and planning your travel.
Accreditation and Media Facilities
The IATA AGM is an invitation-only event. Sessions are open to preregistered and accredited media, who will have access to AGM and WATS sessions, specialized briefings, and full media facilities, including dedicated workspaces, wireless internet, and printing services.
Registration, Accommodation and Visas
Please register as soon as possible. Once your registration is confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions on hotel arrangements in Rio de Janeiro and details on visa requirements for media traveling to Brazil.
One of our AGM sponsors, Embraer, will offer a post-AGM visit to their facilities in São José dos Campos, Brazil, to a limited group of media. If you are interested in participating, please indicate this in your registration. We will share this information with Embraer and their communications team will contact those who express interest with further details about the visit.
