MORE CONNECTIVITY FOR VICTORIA FALLS’ NEW AIRPORT
(Posted 23rd April 2017)
Come first of May will Kenya Airways add a stop in Victoria Falls / Zimbabwe as they double their frequencies from three to six a week for Cape Town.
The hitherto three weekly services to this iconic South African city via the Zambian city of Livingstone will then be supplements by three stops on the other side of the equally iconic Victoria Falls, which are share between the two countries.
Like for Livingstone will Victoria Falls be served with an Embraer E190 in a two class configuration of Business and Economy.
The new service is welcome news for both the town of Victoria Falls and the entire Zimbabwean tourism industry as the country seeks to increase visitor numbers to earn much needed foreign exchange.
Tourists can take advantage of the UniVisa or KazaVisa available for entry into both countries, which will allow them to cross the bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia over the Zambezi River and enjoy the sight of the mighty falls from both sides of the river.
It will be Kenya Airways’ 53rd scheduled route as the Kenyan national flag carrier has flown out of their financial turbulences into calmer skies again.
