AFRAA DELEGATES VISIT THE KING’S PALACE IN NYANZA
(Posted 12th November 2017)
A major cultural treat awaits delegates when, as part of the 49th Annual General Assembly of AFRAA, short for the African Airline Association, their Rwandan hosts will take them to the King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza.
Along the way will the visitors also have the opportunity to pass by the Azizi Life Experience (www.azizilife.com) where they can see how local crafts are made, close up and personal.
Highlight of the day though will no doubt be to see the palace buildings of the former Kingdom and in particular the restored and refurbished residence of the late King Mutara III Rudahingwa.
The museum also includes the display of what used to be ‘king’s cattle’ a special breed reserved in the days of the ancient monarchy for the king alone and tended to by his herdsmen.
The outing is sponsored by Embraer and delegates will return to Kigali late in the day, just in time for the opening cocktail party where hosts RwandAir and AFRAA will be formally greeting their members, visitors, invited guests and media and welcome them all to the 49th edition of the organization’s annual general assembly.
