AFRAA attains ISO 9001:2008 certification

AFRAA’S ANNUAL STAKEHOLDERS CONVENTION MOVES TO KIGALI THIS YEAR

(Posted 03rd February 2016)

AFRAA, the African Airlines Association based in Nairobi, has now finalized the details for the 2016 Aviation Stakeholders Convention. The event will be held at the Kigali Serena Hotel & Conference Centre in Kigali from the 08th to 10th of May and will once again bring Africa’s aviation industry together to both take stock and look at the future. Rwanda’s national airline RwandAir will be co-host of the event.

The theme this year was given as ‘Winning together through Innovation and Collaboration’ under which the continent’s top airline managers meet their colleagues from civil aviation authorities, airports, ground handlers, service providers, aviation academies, maintenance organizations, manufacturers and consultants.

A range of top notch speakers and moderators have again been lined up by AFRAA, aimed to provide a conducive atmosphere for delegates and exhibitors during the three day conference. Information for the event is available from AFRAA via www.afraa.org and an ‘early bird registration’ bonus is still available until the end of February.

Meanwhile has AFRAA attained certification under ISO 9001:2008 after having undergone a series of audits, the only airline association in the world to have met the exacting standards required by ISO for the award of the certification, which will take place on the 11th of February in Nairobi.
