‘CART‘ GUIDELINES GIVE INSIGHT INTO NECESSARY MEASURES TO RESUME AIR TRANSPORT ON A WIDER SCALE
(Posted 11th July 2020)
AFRAA, short for the African Airline Association, has now published the current set of recommendations issued by ICAO’s Council Aviation Recovery Task Force ‘CART‘ which spells out the mandatory requirements for airports and airlines but also for ICAO member states and other service providers before air traffic can resume.
As countries in Africa are now gradually starting to reopen their airspaces and airports, often by first launching domestic flights, is it important that travelers understand what has been put in place and what is expected of them to enhance health and safety standards aimed to make travel safer.
