(Posted 04th April 2026)

Welcome to the 2026 AFRAA SkyConnect Leadership Dialogues session where industry leaders discuss critical matters and how to forge a way forward with practical and actionable solutions.

The April Edition of the AFRAA SkyConnect Leadership Dialogues will host Mr. James Hogan, Chairman – Knighthood Global Limited and Mr. Vincent Huette, Associate Partner – Lufthansa Consulting.

In this dialogue, we will engage seasoned aviation consultants to re-examine the prevailing airline business models in Africa and whether these are “fit for purpose” or should be rehashed to attain desired results. The discussion will also look at the traffic growth potential, connectivity and cargo opportunities and what airlines must do individually and/or in partnerships to maximise returns. Further, the guests will shed some light on sustainable airline operations.

Highlights of the dialogue:

  • State of the airline industry – number/size of airlines, market access, fleet mix, etc
  • Operating landscape – cost, traffic volume, collaboration, technology
  • Suitability of business models – does anything need to be changed?
  • Creating an ideal environment for sustainable intra-Africa passenger/cargo connectivity, growth and profitability
