AFRAA APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR COMMERCIAL, CORPORATE AND INDUSTRY AFFAIRS

AFRAA, the African Airline Association, has announced the appointment of Dr. Koussai Mrabet to the position of Director for Commercial, Corporate and Industry Affairs, effective 01st of June 2014.
Dr. Mrabet was the immediate former Tunis Air Head of International Affairs and Alliances from where he has joined the AFRAA team in Nairobi.
The strengthening of the team around AFRAA Secretary General Dr. Elijah Chingosho is ringing in a new period for AFRAA which has been adding 3 new members last month, Air Astral, Air Uganda and Tassili Airlines. AFRAA is set to provide further advocacy and logistics support to their members across the African continent through their joint fuel purchasing project and their new initiative of a similar cost saving scheme of pooling ground handling services. AFRAA will in August, jointly with Boeing, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and Kenya Airways hold an Operations and Maintenance Safety Seminar at the Pride Centre at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi from the 19th to the 20th and information on that seminar can be obtained via ebukhala
