AWA SETS NEW STANDARDS IN REPORTING OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE

Africa World Airlines, which only recently signed code share agreements with Star Alliance partners Brussels Airlines and South African Airways, has started to set new standards for African airlines when the company began to publish key operational data.
Aimed to increase consumer confidence are the published statistics showing the number of flights operated, flights delayed and schedule reliability, among other data.
Said the airline in a media release seen by ATCNews:
Africa World Airlines Limited continues our commitment to transparency with the release of our operational performance results for the month of September 2019. Over 1,300 flights were scheduled, of which 19 flights operated with delays greater than 2 hours. Totally, 98.28% of our scheduled flights operated as planned. 52,796 passengers were booked to travel during the month, but only 2 passengers were denied boarding due to oversold flights. Passengers who are on delayed or cancelled flights, or who are denied boarding due to over-sales, are entitled to statutory compensation under the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority consumer protection regulations.
