A Bold Vision

As the world grapples with escalating environmental challenges, Africa’s vast landscapes remain critical to sustaining life—not just for wildlife, but for all of us. African Parks is at the forefront of this effort, with a bold strategy to conserve and restore Africa’s most vital ecosystems.

Thanks to your support, we’ve achieved some remarkable milestones in 2024. From the Rhino Rewild Initiative, which aims to rewild over 2,000 rhino into well-managed protected areas, to making possible the survey that confirmed the largest land mammal migration on Earth, in South Sudan.

As part of our work to ensure these areas are safeguarded; our focus is also on sustainable livelihoods for communities that ensure Africa’s natural landscapes endure and continue to benefit generations to come.

In the last year, we engaged 17,145 children and 4,000 adults in environmental education, awarded 1,132 scholarships, and provided access to healthcare for over 70,000 people. Our sustainable livelihood initiatives benefitted 22,448 people, while we invested $1 million directly into community-led projects, empowering people and changing lives.
