Near Liwonde National Park in Malawi, a group of inventive farmers has found an unexpectedly spicy solution to an age-old challenge. Each season, elephants wandered into fields, flattening crops and destroying months of work overnight.

Today, a line of bright red chilli bushes is changing everything. Elephants dislike the scent of chillies and give them a wide berth, leaving fields intact and helping create opportunity for people and wildlife to live alongside one another.

What began as a small experiment has grown into a thriving network of farmers planting, harvesting, and selling chillies. Turning a simple solution into both protection and opportunity.

This is the Impact of One. One action shaping an entire ecosystem.
