Thank you from African Parks

Dear ATCNews Readers,

As we gather during this time of giving and gratitude, we are full of appreciation for your support and dedication to our cause.

Together, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones, making significant strides in safeguarding Africa’s natural landscapes and contributing to the communities who depend on them. Here are some of the achievements we’ve made together:

  • We have translocated more than 8,000 animals from 32 different species. Increasing wildlife numbers by 50% and reducing poaching by 70% after 5 years of management within a park.
  • 3 billion tonnes of CO2 is stored in the 22 protected areas we manage across 20 million hectares (49 million acres) and 12 countries.
  • Approximately 2.5 million local people benefit from ecosystem services and socio-economic initiatives in and around the protected areas we manage.

By safeguarding biodiversity, supporting community development, and advocating for responsible stewardship of natural resources, we invest in the survival of all life on Earth.

As we continue to make advancements to achieve our goal of managing 30 protected areas by 2030, we extend our gratitude on behalf of everyone at African Parks.

Your contribution is an investment into the planet on which we all depend.
