AIR FRANCE TO LAUNCH NAIROBI FLIGHTS FROM MARCH NEXT YEAR
(Posted 24th July 2017)
Following their exodus in March of 2000 has Air France finally decided to return to Nairobi with their own flights though the codeshare arrangement with Kenya Airways, also a partner airline in SkyTeam, will continue as has been the case before.
Effective 25th of March 2018 will Air France begin a thrice weekly service between Charles de Gaulle and Jomo Kenyatta International using a Boeing B787-9 on the route configured in a two class layout of Business and Economy.
Flight AF814 will fly to Kenya on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 20.50 hrs ex CDG, arriving in NBO at 05.50 hrs while the return flight AF815 will leave Nairobi on Sunday, Monday and Thursday at 09.00 hrs and land in Paris at 16.30 hrs, all times local.
Air France’s return to Kenya is seen as a sign of sustained demand on the Paris to Nairobi route, from where Kenya Airways provides codeshared flights to a wide range of East African and continental destinations.
The three Air France flights are expected to be operated in codeshare with Kenya Airways, giving passengers additional capacity and departure options when flying from France or via Paris to Nairobi.
