Air Peace CEO and CFO categorically deny the charges brought against them

AIR PEACE DUO CHARGED IN US FEDERAL COURT DENY CHARGES AND PROMISE A VIGOROUS DEFENSE

(Posted 25th November 2019)

The Air Peace CEO and CFO both hit back at the US Department of Justice, which indicted them a few days ago, and going by consensus among the people ATCNews spoke to while in Lagos, purely for daring to be Nigerian and successful in what they did.

The lawyers retained by Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha and Mr. Allen Onyema launched a public counterattack, publishing letters on behalf of their clients strenuously denying the charged brought and promising a vigorous defense.

The US Attorney in charge of the case, one Byung J. “BJay” Pak, broke all the rules when he referred to the two Air Peace top executives as criminals without adding the word ‘alleged‘ in his public statement, basically denying them the principle of ‘innocent until proven guilty‘.

Air Peace’s operations continue despite the aviation fraternity in Nigeria being rattled by the charges and the uncertainty this development brings for the company, being robbed of their top two executives and frantically trying to put an acting team in place.

As this saga unfolds some more, will ATCNews continue to report and bring updates to readers as and when available.
