Air Seychelles is pleased to announce that, effective from 16 October 2025, the
airline has enhanced its flight service between Seychelles and Abu Dhabi to a daily
schedule. This strategic expansion follows the successful introduction of the route in
May of this year.
The decision to increase flight frequency is a direct response to the rising demand
from both leisure and corporate travelers eager to access Abu Dhabi and its
surrounding regions. This initiative underscores Air Seychelles’ dedication to
improving connectivity for both the Seychellois community and international visitors.
Charles Johnson, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Seychelles, expressed his
satisfaction with the route’s success to date: ‘The overwhelming support from our
passengers has been tremendous, and we are delighted to meet their needs with a
daily service to Abu Dhabi. The route is performing exceptionally well, validating its
significance and demand within our network. With this increase, we are thrilled to
offer greater flexibility and convenience to our passengers.’
Through a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, the flight provides an
important link to tourism growth for Seychelles. The route is estimated to provide
over 57,000 tourists to Seychelles in a year, with passengers predominantly
originating from Europe, Middle East and Russia.
Abu Dhabi, known as the vibrant capital of the United Arab Emirates, offers an
unparalleled cultural experience with its architectural marvels, shopping venues, and
renowned attractions like the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Louvre Abu
Dhabi. Its close proximity to Dubai, accessible by a short drive, adds to the appeal,
providing residents and visitors of Seychelles with a unique opportunity to easily
explore both cities.
The service operates using the national airline's A320 Neo aircraft, which
accommodates 168 passengers at full capacity.
Air Seychelles remains committed to delivering exceptional services and
connections, strengthening ties between Seychelles, Abu Dhabi, and beyond, while
working to contribute towards growth of tourism and commerce.
