Air Seychelles, the national airline of Seychelles, has announced the launch of three weekly nonstop flights between Seychelles and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, starting on 20th of March 2026 for a one-month period. This new service will enhance air connectivity between the island nation and one of its most important European markets at a crucial time.
The route will be operated using a Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner through an agreement with Etihad Airways, enabling Air Seychelles to introduce long-haul capacity efficiently while maintaining high operational and service standards.
The Boeing 787-900 offers substantially greater capacity compared with the airline’s current narrow-body fleet and is specifically designed for long-haul travel, enabling a nonstop journey between Seychelles and Paris. The aircraft will be configured with 290 seats, including 28 Business Class and 262 Economy Class seats. The Business Class cabin will feature fully lie-flat seats, while Economy Class will offer a spacious and comfortable layout suited for long-haul journeys.
Paris remains one of the world’s leading cultural and commercial centers, and the new non-stop connection to Paris Charles de Gaulle provides Seychellois travelers with convenient access not only to France but also to the wider European region. The route is expected to support tourism, business travel, education, and cultural exchange.
The service will also enhance accessibility for visitors travelling to Seychelles. As one of Europe’s largest international gateways, Paris offers extensive onward connections, making it easier for travellers across the continent — particularly from France, historically one of Seychelles’ strongest tourism markets — to reach the islands.
Air Seychelles Chief Executive Officer said the new route reflects the airline’s commitment to strengthening connectivity between Seychelles and its key international markets.
“The introduction of non-stop flights to Paris marks an important milestone for Air Seychelles and for the country’s international connectivity, especially at this time. France has always been a vital market for Seychelles, and this service will provide a convenient and comfortable travel option for both visitors and Seychellois travelers while supporting the continued growth of our tourism industry.”
The introduction of the route comes at a time when airspace closures in parts of the Middle East have disrupted traditional transit routes through Gulf hubs. By offering a direct link between Seychelles and Europe, Air Seychelles aims to provide passengers with a reliable and efficient travel alternative during this period of global travel disruption.

The airline will initially operate three flights per week, with the possibility of increasing to four weekly flights depending on operational requirements and market demand.
Air Seychelles extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Head of State, Dr. Patrick Herminie, whose initiative and leadership paved the way for this launch, and for his approvals and steadfast support in bringing this important development to fruition.
The airline also extends its gratitude to the Ministry for Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation and the Seychelles Airports Authority, as well as other stakeholders, for their continued collaboration and commitment to strengthening the country’s international connectivity.
The flights will operate as per the below schedule: All times in Local Time
