Air Seychelles set to upgrade key technology tools

AIR SEYCHELLES SIGNS UP WITH SABRESONIC

(Posted 17th August 2015)

Come March next year will Air Seychelles move its technology platform to SabreSonic for customer sales and services, going state of the art and joining dozens of other airlines which have successfully migrated in the recent past to this service. Notably do partners Etihad, Air Berlin and Jet Airways, among others in the Etihad stable, also use the same technology platform, bringing transactions in line without fault lines.

Air Seychelles’ new CEO Roy Kinnear signed the agreements with Sabre’s Shane Butt, a Senior Vice President of the Texas based Sabre Corporation.

Roy was quoted to have commented on the deal as follows when making the announcement that the airline expects a vastly improved customer experience when booking and for instance making flight changes while also expecting improved revenue performance.

As many as 70 staff have been earmarked for intensive training on the new system to ensure a smooth transition next year when SabreSonic goes online.
