AIR TANZANIA EXTENDS NETWORK WITH FLIGHTS TO GEITA

Effective 09th of January will Air Tanzania launch a twice a week service to the Western Tanzanian town of Geita.
Flights will initially operate every Saturday and Monday although the airline already suggested that a third weekly frequency could be added in the future.
While the outbound flight from Dar es Salaam to Geita – IATA ‘GIT’ | ICAO ‘HTRU’ – will be non stop and take just over 2 hours will the return flight route from Geita via Mwanza back to Dar es Salaam.
The aircraft used will be a Q400 turboprop.
The addition of Geita brings the domestic destinations of Air Tanzania to now 13 including the hub airport of Dar es Salaam.
