Information was just received from Nairobi that the ongoing strike action by Air Traffic Controllers has ended with an agreement, prompting an immediate return to regular duty and work.
Airline passengers booked on flights into and out of JKIA are however advised to continue checking with their respective carriers about the latest information on arrival and departure times to ensure missing flights can be avoided.
The strike action was prompted by a significant number of grievances which had not been addressed, including a 15 year pause in raising salaries and benefits for Air Traffic Controllers.
