Mr. Edmund Makona, Chief Executive of Air Zimbabwe, has been elected as the new President of AFRAA, the African Airline Association which is based in Nairobi / Kenya.
He succeeds EC Air’s Fatima Beyina-Moussa, who took over at the Algiers assembly last year.
Zimbabwe’s national airline will subsequently welcome AFRAA in November 2016 to the resort town of Victoria Falls where the next, 48th AGA will be held from the 20th to the 22nd November.
Zimbabwe’s aviation and tourism stakeholders have promptly welcomed the news and will over the next twelve months promote the annual conference and pre- and post AGA packages to visit some of the country’s famous game parks and the ancient ruins of Great Zimbabwe.
