250 A321neo75 A350-90015 A350-10005 A350F CargoTurkish Airlines has confirmed an additional order – as shown above – for new Airbus aircraft, making it the largest order in the airline’s history.
The 95 A350 family aircraft order comes on top of an earlier order of 10 A350’s, bringing the total order to 355 aircraft – all from Airbus.
This makes Turkish Airlines one of Airbus’ leading customers world wide and the largest operator of the A350 family.
The deal was reportedly struck at the sidelines of the Dubai Air Show, which is officially starting today, 13th of November and runs until the 17th of November.
Several airlines, Emirates among them, are tipped to announce and sign major aircraft orders with leading manufacturers.
Earlier in the year, at the Paris Air Show, did Airbus bag orders for nearly 1.000 new aircraft, making it their most successful period for aircraft sales ever.
Turkish Airlines is a member of the world’s leading airline alliance #StarAlliance and its home hub Istanbul has in recent years turned into one of the busiest and most formidable connection points in the world, especially covering African destination like few other airlines.
