Aircraft number 11 joins the fleet of Tanzania’s airline with the widest scheduled network

AURIC AIR ADDS 11TH CESSNA C208B GRAND CARAVAN EX TO FLEET

(Posted 10th September 2015)

Auric Air, Tanzania’s safari and business airline with the widest scheduled network across the country, some 30 destinations overall, yesterday announced the arrival of yet another Cessna C208B Grand Caravan EX. This is the 11th such plane, all acquired from the manufacturer brand new, on a fleet exclusively comprising this aircraft type.

Auric is also the only Tanzanian airline which the Flight Safety Foundation certified with the coveted Gold Standard under ‘BARS’ short for Basic Aviation Risk Standards, an audit scheme for smaller airlines and in essence very similar to the IOSA standards set by IATA for their member airlines.

Operating initially out of Mwanza has the airline now three bases overall, having expanded to Arusha and Dar es Salaam.

The aircraft arrived yesterday on a ferry flight at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport from the Africair facility in Florida, registered initially as N31055 but was on arrival given the new Tanzanian registration 5H-AAH. The aircraft is now being readied in the maintenance facility for deployment and is expected to join her sisterships within days for the commercial maiden flight. Besides scheduled services does Auric also offer charters and of late even holiday packages to such destinations like Mafia Island and Zanzibar, offers to which the market has responded well.
